French lacquer art of the 19th century
with Japanese motifs
In the last third of the 19th century, the Frères Adt company in Pont-a-Mousson produced numerous black lacquer objects made of papier-mâché and decorated with Japanese motifs. The exhibition shows various examples of this almost forgotten art form.
